Seems sad but is understandable - my sense is that the vast majority of potential buyers aren't sophisticated enough to understand that reading reviews and spec sheets is no substitute for actually listening to systems and so buy based on trends or whatever tickles their fancies, like impressing others with their fancy new gear.

Maybe people are getting savvy and realise that Bose isn't hi-fi, just clever marketing of a life-style brand.
