I'm considering a pair of Bose QC25 for use in the office. I understand that their noise cancelling ability will be very useful in a noisy environment. However can I also use them for audio conferences? My current work headphones are Plantronics and connect to the work laptop via USB. These headphones have a built in stalk microphone. If I buy a USB adapter for the QC25's can I use the line microphone in the same way the Plantronics work? If I can use the QC25's for both noise cancelling and conferences I'll definitely get a pair as they will be a great benefit to me in the noisy office.

Many Thanks

What is a 'stalk' mic and a 'line' mic?

Stalk mic is attached to the headphones on a moveable stalk so the mic is positioned in front of the mouth. In line mic is built into the headphone cable itself and sits near the chest.
