Hi: I know nothing about HiFi gear, so please excuse my ignorance. I have a large sitting/dining/kitchen area, with a Marantz PM5005 amp, a Marantz CD6007 CD player and a SoundLab turntable at one end. I work at a desk next that. Sometimes my wife wants to listen to loud music as she moves around the kitchen, which is open to the same room but 35 feet away at the other end and round a corner. If we play music through the speakers next my desk so It's audible in the kitchen, it's so loud I can't work. I think we need a Bluetooth speaker system in the kitchen arranged so we can have different volume levels at the HiFi end of the room and in the kitchen. So how do I do that please?

The Marantz 5005 amp has a headphone output on the front face with no separate volume control. Plugging in phones doesn't cut the speaker output, so the amp volume controls both. The 6007 CD player has it's own CD volume control, so headphones and speakers have separate volume controls - phones by the CD player control and speakers by the amp volume. The CD player also has a USB socket on the front with a CD/Input button next to it. I assume this is a USB powered input you can plug a USB music source like a memory stick or a phone into, but have to admit I don't know, and the Marantz manual isn't as helpful as I'd like.

So, any suggestions please. Any half decent mono USB speaker like a JBL Charge or whatever will do in the kitchen because usually it's noisy, but is there an affordable Bluetooth sending gizmo I can plug the CD Headphone output into, or a better way to do it? Thanks, Max
