Bluesound Powernode 2

Hello! I just wanted to share my experience with the new Powernode 2. After living with a Marantz PM 6004 for 3 years, I was looking for another sound signature. I'd always found the Marantz sound a touch polite and laid back. I also wanted to stream Tidal without the hassle of adding yet another black box to the picture(per wife's request). Enter the Powernode 2. My local HiFi story had just received two of them and loaned me one. Oh boy, does it sound good. It's the first time I've listened to my Monitor Audio BX5's REALLY sing. This little amp/streamer is really powerful and fast, I mean really upbeat, it doesn't lag a bit and it is perfectly balanced throughout all frequentlcies! I'm waiting for WHF's review. This amp rivals and takes more expensive amps without a doubt. If you happen to come across one, try it. Highly recommended!

I'm about to buy a couple of these for a multiroom set-up, but it frankly feels like overkill. The 2nd gen. is definitely more than an elegant multiroom solution, it's a full fletched high-current quality amp, paired with a streamer, DAC, and preamp, all in a classy box.
