which would you choose between the Panasonic DMP BD35 and the Denon 1940 ( to be used inconjunction with a Panasonic PZ800 Plasma ) for watching DVDs

I agree with 'Big Chris'.

I was looking at same dilemna, and ended up with the sony BDP-S350, just like 'Big Chris' has done!!

Its great for DVD playback, as well as being able to play blu rays.

I have to admit though, after seeing blu ray discs in action, I'm not sure I would buy a DVD again!!!!

I does depend somewhat on if you need Multi-Region DVD playback as most BD spinners are locked for both BD and DVD.

Not a problem there as all my DVDs are region 2
