Blu-Ray that plays old dvd`s

Hi. sorry if this has been asked before,but could anyone recommend a Blue Ray DVD player which plays old discs as well as blu-ray. i would be wanting to spend around £300, thanks

For that price, look at either the PS3 or the Panasonic DMP-BD30. Which one you go for could well be decided on whether you have an AV amp and if you're interested in HD audio.

And to clarify, ALL Blu-ray players also play DVDs.

If you're buying a new Blu-ray player, look out for it being sold as a multiregion player for DVDs, as then you'll be able to play DVDs from anywhere in the world, not just UK 'Region Two' discs. You may still find you can only play Blu-ray discs from the European region, but that's another story.

been looking at the reviews of the onkyo 606 to compliment a blu ray dvd.would this be a good choice you think..just getting into the tech side of home cinema now since i bought a Samsung 6 series on sat.

Certainly isn't a bad choice given the reviews but I can never recommend something to someone without advising them to go listen to it and some competing products and see which one they prefer.
