Blu Ray - PS3 or BDPS350???????????????????

I currently have a PS3 for which i use to watch blu rays/dvds etc. However i want to know if it it worth spending another £150 on the Sony BDPS350? What does this machine have that a PS3 doesnt? Will i be able to notice the difference with the BDPS350 both in picture and sound as i have the KDL40W4000 complete with full 5.1 surround sound set up via an Onkyo amp?

Please help........................

Personally I wouldn't bother - £150 would be better spent on more Blu-Rays IMHO.

When my 2 year old broke my ps3 I bought a 350 and could not see any significant difference in picture quality. Yes spend your money on discs

Yes I did at the beginning but its main use was for blu ray watching

i have one of each and i think the 350 does a better job with dvds,but i dont think theres much init.

only reason i got the 350 is that i think my ps3 was working to hard games,blurays,dvds,photos,music.i didnt want to kill it.

oh and your onkyo will show truehd or master audio in the display window with a 350

Of course i play games on it but you cant play ps3 games on a blu ray player so why have you posted this totally useless comment? I wanted advice on films, not games! Duh!
