Blu ray player limitations due to HDMI Cable

Am I right in thinking a Bluray player is only as good as the HDMI cable which transports the signal or is there more to this notion.

Any system will only be as good as its weakest link allows it to be.

Whether or not you believe HDMI cables can make a difference is another matter.

But your last HDMI cable thread should have given you an example of what answers you're likely to get here, so I have to assume you're being a teeny bit provocative in posing this question.

In any case, the limitations of a Blue ray player lie in it execution: cheap components+poor design=poor player.
