Agreed, avoid newly created websites and anything advertised on social media and never forget the old adage, "if it sounds too good to be true then it is".Best to stick with known retailers.
Fair enough but, I'm sure you know as well as I do, that many people get caught out every year and, this site like all owned by Future, goes nuts about Black Friday.Who needs advice, common sense and research is all that is required.....
it's only a good deal if you can find exactly what you are looking to buy and it has really been reduced in price.
Price history websites are a good place to start.
As do most and moreso since it was taken over by Future Publishing, however you cannot help some people with no common sense so it's often not worth trying.Fair enough but, I'm sure you know as well as I do, that many people get caught out every year and, this site like all owned by Future, goes nuts about Black Friday.
As far as I am aware WHF don't actually sell anything. Most of the regulars here know that something is only a bargain if you were otherwise happy to pay the full price.
WHF could give the not-so-sensible people a clear warning about that.....but they wouldn't want to reduce their click through commission - when it's a good, easy earner for them.
No 'orange box' needed Al - and no mysteries, WHF make it very clear that they 'may' financially benefit if you buy through their links. As far as I am aware WHF don't actually sell anything.
Explain click through commission please.
Perhaps think yourself lucky they have actually given you this forum to express yourself.
I feel sure, as a long term member you actually do, however slating those that give you an orange box to spout from is perhaps not a good idea.
Apologies then. Can't say I have ever looked at any WHF links to anything except this forum. No 'orange box' needed Al - and no mysteries, WHF make it very clear that they 'may' financially benefit if you buy through their links.
They don't hide the fact - I'm surprised that you've missed it.....but I'd be even more surprised if I thought you, of all people, were naive enough to think all their black Friday alerts were done purely for the benefit of their readers 🤨
It is 👍I have always thought Black Friday was yet more American inspired tosh!
If you think that's a good deal fine, doesn't mean they will not dip further later on......It is 👍
But it's just knocked 80 quid off a Wiim Ultra for me.
I wondered earlier today if you’d seen that!It is 👍

No, I'm the complete opposite of someone that has to have things right away - I usually wait years, this time only about 6 months though. If you think that's a good deal fine, doesn't mean they will not dip further later on......
However, any savings are a good thing if you simply must have one right now I guess.
This website certainly looks like an advert for Black Friday at present. So many articles about/promoting Black Friday “deals” but, no advice on how to avoid bad deals and scams…
