Black Friday

Who needs advice, common sense and research is all that is required.....
it's only a good deal if you can find exactly what you are looking to buy and it has really been reduced in price.
Price history websites are a good place to start.
Fair enough but, I'm sure you know as well as I do, that many people get caught out every year and, this site like all owned by Future, goes nuts about Black Friday.

Most of the regulars here know that something is only a bargain if you were otherwise happy to pay the full price.

WHF could give the not-so-sensible people a clear warning about that.....but they wouldn't want to reduce their click through commission - when it's a good, easy earner for them.

As far as I am aware WHF don't actually sell anything.
Explain click through commission please.
Perhaps think yourself lucky they have actually given you this forum to express yourself.
I feel sure, as a long term member you actually do, however slating those that give you an orange box to spout from is perhaps not a good idea.

No 'orange box' needed Al - and no mysteries, WHF make it very clear that they 'may' financially benefit if you buy through their links.

They don't hide the fact - I'm surprised that you've missed it.....but I'd be even more surprised if I thought you, of all people, were naive enough to think all their black Friday alerts were done purely for the benefit of their readers 🤨

I feel sure this won't come as any surprise to most other members

PS I'm slating nobody and I don't particularly think myself lucky to be able to merely state a truth - one they openly admit.

Apologies then. Can't say I have ever looked at any WHF links to anything except this forum.
I am sure any alerts are just that. Should you then to purchase any items through any link then you only have yourself to answer to.
Or am I missing much more? If so please ignore my comments.
I have always thought Black Friday was yet more American inspired tosh!

If you think that's a good deal fine, doesn't mean they will not dip further later on......
However, any savings are a good thing if you simply must have one right now I guess.
No, I'm the complete opposite of someone that has to have things right away - I usually wait years, this time only about 6 months though.
