I currently have Roksan Kandy III amp, Kandy CD PLayer and Monitor Audio Silver RS6's Bi-wired. I have been thinking about getting a Kandy Power amp to Bi-amp. Firstly I wonder if anyone has this set up or if they think the the improved sound would be worth the money?

At the same time, in the not too distant future, (a year or two), I would want to get a 5.1 / 7.1 AV system for my sky HD and PS3. Would I be wasting my money on the Kandy Power amp now if instead I got an AV receiver and Bi-amped with this instead on two channels, until a year or two when I will have the space and money to get decent centre and rear speakers?

If I got the Kandy Power amp and bi-amped with this in the meantime and eventually bought an AV receiver, would I then be able to use a pre-out on the AV receiver to connect to the Kandy integrated amp (still bi-amping with the Power amp), for the front L&R speakers with the receiver powering the other speakers for surround movies and games, and for listening to tunes, simply switch off the receiver so that my music listening would not be affected by the AV amp?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

P.S music quality is very important to me!

In regards to bi-amping your RS6 speakers; id say go for it.

Its the best thing i did with my Arcam Alpha set-up and my M/A RS6 speakers. The bass is deeper and more controlled and the soundstage has grown for the better.

I also dont think it would be a waste of money to buy the power amp. You can always look to sell it on if/when you go for an AV amp.

In regards to the AV amp i'm not sure but i'm sure someone will be along soon to give you advice 🙂

No I don't think you'll be wasting your money now, and yes you'll be able to use the biamp set-up with an AV receiver with preouts.

I said someone would be along with advice. Short but sweet 🙂
