Hi

If a speaker has two binding posts, for bi-amping, can two totally different amps be attached with only one operational at a time. I am going to buy a set of KEF xq20's for the front left and right speakers in my HT setup, with a Pioneer VSX-LX70 amp. However, for stereo, I would like to buy a valve amp (I don't know which one at this stage). Can I connecrt both to the same speakers and turn the Pioneer on for HT and the valve amp on for stereo music?

Alternatively, I could use the valve amp with the pre-outs from the VSX-LX70 but I worry that having some solid state channels and some valve channels will sound really odd.

Any thoughts

Thanks
