I have the Sony da1200es and it can be bi -amped to my speakers by using the spare front stereo outputs .

I have only found this feature out by re -reading the manual .

What are the benefits of this .

yep gonna need a couple more metres of cable .

I have four binding posts on my speakers which will allow this , must be an improvement to my jumper cables I 'm using already.

I guess one amp does bass and the other treble , but I did not know my AV amp could do this . :O

I have been looking for a upgrade with the cd player I already use Marantz cd 6004 and yet there is one staring me in the face

So anyone please tell me what are the benefits of bi- amping.

I'm you're man for this one. I've got a 1200ES bi-amped 🙂. Basically, you're right: One amp feeds the woofers and one feeds the tweets. The result of this is more power to the speakers and therefore has more control of them. It makes a difference. A big one in my system especially to the bass.

Give it a go, buddy. Methinks you'll likey!

Bi-amped my pioneer a few months back and would echo the other posts - made a positive difference to the sound so well worth experimenting.

Thanks for the replies sorry took so long to answer been working away.

Any how did it Bi amped the SONY and its made a huge improvement ,only I had to use the spare outs to the rear surround speakers to Bi amp.

Chord carnival silver screnn cable seems to work fine , and now its burnt in the Marantz sounds a lot more wholesome on analogue direct .

I could not even touch that button before as it just seemed to suck all the bass out of the music and sound really thin , what a diference now.

Biamping has had huge benefits to Blu ray as well giving a larger sound stage and more life like sound to vocals . A real improvement for the price of some extra metres of cable heatshrink and banana plugs .

Very happy with the outcome. :cheer:
