I think you've done the big one, and adding a second power will be better but not as clear cut as the first biamp.

Bi amping made quite an improvement to my setup (And ive NEVER heard of biamping ever sounding worse). High end setups are nearly always monoblocks so it must all be a step up surely.

I had bi-amped for years using Rotel RB971 power amps, with a Rotel RC971 Pre amp. Around a year ago I upgraded the power amp to a Audiolab 8000Q which made a huge difference. I had pondered for a long time about bridging the power amps and converting them into monoblocs, I finally bit the bullet earlier this year. It was the best upgrade I made and it was free, only having to move the appropriate jumpers on the power amps. This may be worth you considering if you are determined to add another power amp to your set up.

so i added the secound power amp today and i think your right joel not the leaps of the first one .

will give it a proper try at the weekend as my kids had to sleep so i couldent really have a proper go of it tonight.

why? If it sounds good to you why would anyone elses opinion matter?! Thats all there is by being *into it*, anything more is having an interest in the gear and not (just) the sound from it, which is not necassarily a bad thing, just not the most important bit!

i agree with you completly and im really happy with it i could listen to it all day .but as i am new to this and this is my first proper set up i have no idea if im at the point of reaching the max performance for my money also i dont no anyone else with anything other than a micro system so i have nothing else to compare it to.would just be intresting to hear an experts view to if ive mached my kit up ok or if ive set it up as best i can

one thing i will be doing is adding apple tv i did some tests last month using apple lossless from my laptop and it sounded very good compared to 320 format from my ps3

And you never will know if you have got max for money...hi fi is all about upgradeitis just read the forums and ye shall learn!

This is the job a good retailer should be doing for you - advise on gear and demoing it properly so your ears decide not a committee of wannabee journos on an internet forum..

Take time before deciding nod. Im 99% sure youll begin to hear subtle differences withtin the week and probably marked differences within the month.

My arcam sounded absolutely AWFUL when I first fired it up (And seriously lacking power)

Now its a real powerhouse capable of pounding the floor with bass.
