Better speakers for a micro system

I have an Onkyo CR515 and am using Kef IQ5's with it in a small 2m by 3m bedroom/office. Are there any speakers that would produce a better sound than i am getting at the moment ot are the kefs as good as it gets for this system?

Could get a better sound with a different amp/cd player! Not that the Onkyo is bad, I actually own one. But when I herd my kef's (IQ3's) through a Cambridge audio amp/cd player they sounded completely different!! Different in a very good way. Which has lead me to look into upgrading to a separate amp/cd player.

I have the full system downstairs and am tempted to bring it upstairs and replace the onkyo with it but i think that the 685's, rotel ra05 and marantz cd6002 would be a little too much for a small room. Not least i would have to replace it and also get dab for the office.
