Hey, I'm not too experienced with hi-fi and a lot of this stuff I find confusing. Essentially I'm wondering what's the best way to listen to my music on a budget.
My original idea was to plug my iPod via a universal dock into a microsystem (like the Denon D-M37DAB), and some speakers (maybe Tannoy Mercury F1 Custom's).
Now I'm wondering about DAC's. Can I plug my Macbook into a DAC, (Beresford TC-7510 for instance), and then into some speakers? Will it be of the same or even better quality than the iPod/microsystem setup? It's a good deal cheaper which is why I'm curious about it.
Thanks for any advice.
