Could someone please give me some advise?. I'm thinking of getting the Sony KDL40/4500 or the Sharp LCXL2E. which of these would you say are the best, the sharp is giving that bit extra on screen size 42 as opposed to sony 40.

any information would be greatly appreciated.

See if you can find the Pioneer PDP-4280XD. It is discontinued, so you can find it online for £900! It is an amazing plasma that sacrifices pointless 1080p capability for amazing motion, colour, contrast and standard-def performance.

Out of the two, I'd go for the Sony. The Pioneer is a great TV, but since it's discontinued, you will really struggle to find it new, especially at £900.

Where can you find it online for £900? I can't find it in stock at ANY price and would buy one today if i could
