Hi,

My partner is looking for a small radio that looks good and just plays FM radio well. She liked the look of the Bose Wave, but besides their noise cancelling headphones, I'm not really a fan of their products.

I thinks she's going to use it as a radio in the bathroom to sing under the shower or something...

Any help is highly appreciated!

If she was prepared to stream radio via Bluetooth from a phone, then I'd highly recommend the Kef Muo, which I heard recently. It cost around £300 (€410) and sounded amazing for its size.

Nope, she barely uses her phone anyways. So streaming is not really for her. Just basic radio that looks good is what she wants I think :D.

It also doesn't have to be micro small like the one you linked or like a beats pill or somehting. It can be quite a lot bigger. Very often bigger is better ;)

So you're looking for a small radio, but it needn't be small, right? Then this could be a good place to start!

PS: I just guessed you might be Belgian; if not, they're available elsewhere too...

Will any of those options be suitable/safe in the bathroom and shower? (This was one of the requirements.)

Oh, I might have misunderstood that. Can you clarify, Henri? What exactly will she do with it (if that's not too private a question)? *wink*

Sony, Philips and Roberts all do 'splash' proof radios designed for showers that that have rubber casing and buttons. Have a look at Amazon or the site of your choice. Search for splash or shower radios for the options. If you get a normal one like the nice Ruark it will corrode.

I have a great one Pure used to make that they replaced with one too complex sadly.

I too would suggest Pure with their optional battery pack. I don't know what Belgian bathrooms are like but I don't have a mains socket in my UK one.

We have six of them -- none in the shower, mind you!*i-m_so_happy*

We have ours near the bath (covered by the tapestry above the scented candles and just under the shelf that the toaster shares with all the glass bottles containing oils).

We wouldn't be silly enough to put a radio on the shelf though. Ours goes on the top of the paraffin heater along with the ashtray.
