Best place to place speakers to reduce sound traveling

I am opening a new shop soon and i use Sonos as the shops music system,2xplay 5.Above the shop are offices and i want to place the speakers where they will make the least vibration and sound as not to disturb the office above.Volume i realise is the obvious detail but i was wondering if the speakers should be on the floor or on a shelf up on a wall,flooring is not carpet but lots of soft things like clothes as its a clothes shop!The floor between shop and office is concrete.Any ides or tips?

If the intermediate floor is concrete I wouldn't have thought there was a problem unless you plan disco volumes. I'd put them on a shelf in preference to the floor
