Hi All,

I've seeking the best options to build my hometheater.

I was thinking for TV a Sony LCD model 40X3500. What do you think about it?

Then I was thinking in Denon 4308 for AV Receiver. I've choosed this one because of its networking capabilities but I am wondering if there is best option for this price with the same features, and also if this AV has good sound quality.

Then because my room is not very large I was seeking a stylish speaker package but that can take advantage of this AV Receiver. I've heard lots of good comments regarding KEF 3005 but I don't think they could take full advantage of a Receive like this. Then I've heard about Tannoy Arena HighLine 500. I was wondering if it is a good choice or if there is better choice even for a little more money.

For movie player I was thinking Pioneer BDP-LX70A. Is there a better option for the price regarding that at this moment maybe it's not the better time to buy one?

Thanks for your help,

Ivo Ramos

Don't have any experience with the TV you mention, but that Denon amp would be wasted with the KEF 3005 system (even the SE version). If you have to go for a style system, the Tannoys are probably a better bet I would guess, though I haven't heard them. I'd check out the Onkyo TX-NR905 as well while I was auditioning.

What are you looking to achieve with the networking capabilities? It might be better to go with a cheaper amp without this facility and go for another device to handle whatever it is you want network wise e.g. possibly the PS3 or maybe the Squeezebox.

On the Blu-Ray front, I'd wait for more news on the recently announced new players from Denon, Onkyo, Marantz and Pioneer before making a decision.

Have a look at the Samsung TV's, they are excellent for picture quality. The Sony PS3 is very good on Blue ray and it keeps getting updated via its internet link, don't see the point of paying more when it's this good. Perhaps you might then look at saving some more money and look at the Onkyo 875. On the speaker front the MA6 AV package will beat the Tanoys hands down on music. If you buy everything from one dealer you should be able to strike a good deal.
Good luck

Denon 3808 has networking for a lot less, B&W FPM's are stylish and good speakers but you'll need a sub, a la PV1. Got all this and it sounds v.good.
