I have a panasonic g10 plasma which looks fantastic on my xbox 360. I am looking for a tv just for gaming for my spare room between 32 to 42inch screen. Any advice would be appreciated.

You could do a lot worse than invest in another G10, unless you have experienced problems with game playing on that? You didn't say what budget you're working to, which obviously has a great bearing on your options...

In my opinion (though I have little experience of WHF's current fave 42" LG LCD set), I still think the 42" G10 represents one of the very best deals around at the moment, and is probably cheaper now than when you bought your current TV. V. fast response time on the 'game' picture present makes it a great TV for gamers...

I was thinking about getting another panasonic just wondered what my options could be. I do get a slight blur when i move fast in a game, but that might be the HDMI im using, do you know of any HDMI's which are good for gaming etc. Im looking £800 tops to spend on the tv.

Differences, if any, between HDMI cables is a controversial topic, but I doubt if image blur is a cable problem.

Do you have any unnecessary picture processing, such as noise reduction, turned off? According to reviews, the G10 is excellent for games, unless:

Do you notice the blur in anything other than games? If so, it could possibly be that you're one of the small number of people susceptible to 'phosphor trails' on plasmas. Quote from another website: One thing to note is that the common Plasma issue of phosphor trails will rear its
head, depending on what you're playing

Maybe an LCD would suit better if you're only using it for gaming -- you're less likely to get excited about how 'natural' the colour balance of the tv is if you're viewing an entirely (unnatural) digitally-rendered image. This is why Pixar films look so great on a lot of LCD screens. I'd audition the LG current budget 42" champion and the 42" Philips 7404 (both are well within your budget). See how you like them compared with your Panny plasma...
