Hello

Can anyone recommend what Amp would work best with the above speakers please. I love my Pioneer AX3 amp, but it it is starting to sound a little on the bright side when watching movies etc.

any suggestions? Budget is no more than £600

Garth Man - how about the Denon 1909 AVR can be got for around £400 and I use it for my Kef 3005se so will work really well for 2005.2 . It decodes all HD audio Formats and I think it's really easy to use and set up. The sound is great and seems to work well with the Kef's. However, I know that the Yamaha AX863 and AX763 may have now overtaken it.

cheers for the reply Jan H

My mate at work recommends that also, is it powerful, i.e loud sounding with Movies etc?

The best I've ever heard the 2005's sound is on the end of the Onkyo 606, so check out it's replacement, the new 607

hmm never looked at an Onkyo product before

7.2?? thats intriguing

Have read the WHF review, sounds promising

Yeah, it has 2 sub outputs, for those that want to be that mad, and uses ProLogicIIz, which is a system whereby you can add front effect speakers (in a very similar style to the system Yamaha has been using for decades). This isn't a necessity, and normal 5.1 can be used.

It was pretty much the best AV amp under £500, and I can't see any reason why the 607 will be any different.

I have the KEF 2005.3s hooked up to a Yamaha 763 and cannot find any faults. Well maybe one. I cant listen to it too loud because it disturbes my neighbours. Would that be powerful enough for you???
