Best cable for AE to Dac

Is it best to get a mini toslink to toslink cable or a normal cable and add an adaptor?

I've used both. There is absolutely no difference, however I'd go for the mini toslink to toslink cable only because I lost the adaptor once during some frenzied packing.

I bought an optical cable at John Lewis last year and got a little adapter from Maplins. I haven't had any issues. There's quite a bit of hype with optical but I think that when it works it works. Just make sure that the adapter is snapped on properly.

Doesn't really matter but I'd try to get a mini-toslink to toslink. Adapdter is only another component in the chain that could break.
