Hi everyone this is my first post :)

Basically I'm after a reasonably cheap home cinema <450. I've decides to get some Wharfedale DX-1HCP which are around 350. So does anyone know a reasonably good amp to be used with these speakers? I'll use an optical input from my PS3 and its not gonna be anything fancy just needs to be something to take the sound from the ps3 and play it through the speakers. Itll only be used for movies so it doesn't need to be for music.

Sorry that my first post is a question. Thanks for the help everyone. Dan

You have a good choice to pick from with £450 ! How about the sony 820 , good budget reciever for not much money at all now or the yam 673 for £300 now . I have a yam 671 and does the job great

Thanks for the reply but I made a typo, when I said 450 I meant 150 but I'd be willing to raise to 200 if necessary. I know this is very modest but I'd be willing to go second hand. I didnt want the set up to cost more than 500.
