best audio from blu ray and how to get it

evening all

so what is the bets audio from a blu ray player? Is it simply obtained through the HDMI or is it best to get hd audio through the analogue outs??

Just somoething i was wondering in my eternal pondering over what machine i should buy.

I would say this is going to depend a lot on what Blu-Ray player and which amp you have. However, my bet would be, in most cases, a straight HDMI cable to the amp would be best as it minimises any digital to analogue conversion goings ons.
