Anyone have experience of ordering from Beresford's online store - and how long it takes to deliver? I appreciate that Beresford is not setup to react with the alacrity of Amazon or Vodafone.co.uk (ordered a Legend at 1630, arrived 1100 next day!), but my Beresford order was placed four working days ago, thus far all I've received is a PayPal confirmation... Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

Just think how the guys that ordered from EBAcoustics feel ...

Thanks for replies, folks.

[EDIT] I sent an email & was called back in about 3 mins by the man himself. Blimey, how's that for customer service!

BTW, I assume you're all wizards re this streaming malarkey. Any of you know if/where there's an online 'idiot's guide to streaming' re setup etc? I'll be using an iMac & AirPort Express.

Thanks.

Only advice that I can give (that you will need) is to have the main server (i.e. your iMac) wired into your router rather than wireless - far more reliable...

Eh? Oh blimey, 'ere we go, my outpouring of ignorance & confusion begins: when you write 'router', are you referring to the AirPort Express? I was hoping I could 'beam' music from my iMac (in study) to the AirPort Express, into the Beresford DAC via optical/toslink, then into my hifi (in living room) via analogue interconnects?

Or is the above 'process'/setup not possible?

Thanks.

Although you will need a wireless network router to make it work. You have one of these right?

Yes, have a wireless router.

But, er, I thought the iMac's WiFi 'speaks' to the AirPort Express direct?

Oh dear, I think a phrase comprising the words 'chew... bitten off... more than...' is rearing its head?

Eek!

Don't worry about it, I find anything to do with wireless networks can be a pain. I believe the Airport will use your wireless internet connection to work, however i only have experience in doing it from a pc side, could well be different for a mac.
