Well, I have just taken delivery of a small package, very prompt indeed. Thanks Stanley

Can't wait to set it up!

I suppose the best comparison test is for me to compare:

1. Lossless mp3 playing via A Express into my amp

2. Lossless mp3 playing via A Express into DAC into amp

I too am having probs with A Express cutting out so will need to figure that out (I have seen the other forum posts so will give the suggestions a try). I think it is probably due to old firmware.

Not sure if you saw mine - try and make sure the PC/MAC with itunes on it is wired to the router using ethernet rather than wireless...

I'm not sure what you mean by lossless MP3 though - I'm not aware there is such a thing...

For me, there was a night-and-day difference between the AE via analog and the AE via the Beresford...

Ah! It's not possible to have my MAC wired to the router since they are in different rooms. Do you think this will cause a problem?

It hasn't been a problem for me (running a 'g' network), though I haven't tried it with iTunes 8 yet as my stuff has been in storage (there are rumours of issues with 8) - hoping to get it up and running again this weekend.......

I can't understand why the Mac being wired into the router will make any difference. After all, the AE unit only works over wireless - you can't stream music through the wire. I know this because my Mac is wired into my router, but if I switch off my Airport card I can't stream music via the Airport Express units.

fatboyslimfast:Dunno. All I know is that my PC is wired to the router (no wireless card), which then talks wirelessly to the AE, and it all works...

FBSF ~ you are a lucky bloke!

All this crawling around on the floor is certainly keeping me busy, but I can't stop until it is perfect.

However, I am looking forward to sitting back and listening to some music with a nice creamy Guiness!

Very useful it is too ~ Hmmm I wonder if they would consider having a section

"The best biscuits to eat whilst listening to music"

To my mind it would have to be something without too much crunch...

fatboyslimfast:A dunked (not in Guinness obviously) HobNob?

I think a HobHob / guiness combo is a marriage made in heaven, infact a HobNobGuiness Cream would get me extremely interested.

It's me, looking for some HobNobs!

I wouldn't recommend it, it's pretty dark and smelly in there...

Also gets a mention on my band's website under "other useful links".

I'm saddened that you don't link to this fair website, too - being as it's your second home, n'all

Yes, I even go to the lengths of sending some bloke to your office to say hello.
