You little tinker! A PF50!?!

Well, we look forward to an in-depth report after the weekend.

And hopefully by then, I will be able to lift my arm above shoulder height

The PF30 just about fits nicely on my top rack. No way would it take a PF40 much less a PF50!

Looking forward to your observations.

I think the PF50 is the same size as the PF40, might be a tad heavier...

El Hefe:Hi,

Someone is letting go a brand new pf50 for 350 quid. Is this the current price for this unit?
I bought my PF50 a week ago on eBay BNIB for £95 and I've seen them online in stock for £190+VAT

Just got a PF30. Firstly can't believe what a substantial piece of kit for 20 odd pound.
But some advice please. When connecting I intend to plug my receiver into the HC socket and sub straight into wall. That leaves TV, BDP, SKY & XBOX. which of these would go in the 2 audio and 2 video sockets ?

I found an improvement in the tv and sky pictures when plugged into the video sockets but hardly any difference with the blu ray picture on my set up so I would plug the tv and sky box in the video sockets and the blu ray and xbox in the audio sockets, that way when watching tv and sky you could "switch" the other 3 sockets completely off and save some "not on standby" money !

Dunno to be honest! One Flew Over The Cuckoo's nest isn't a great Bluray as far as PQ is concerned, so couldn't really tell. Watched Donnie Darko, and that isn't great either! So either these discs are a little naff or it's screwed up my PQ quality!! I've got my Sonos ZP90 plugged into it, and thought that sounded a little clearer, but can't be sure without A/B'ing.

I've had my PF30 for a few days now and I couldn't say whether or not there's any real improvement in either audio or video quality although I should really say that I haven't had the Pioneer amp that long and it's probably still running in. If I'd spent a couple of hundred quid on this then i'd be thinking of selling to recoup money for a more worthwhile investment!

An A-B test with a Tacima is the only way around this, as it was for me

Yes, I would send it back had that been the case. But for £20, it's absolutely brilliant!

Even if it's made no difference at all, it's still worth it for a fancy mains block. My system now looks neater as I've removed a 6 way block I had, which was on the floor behind the system, and some of my sources are now plugged into the PF30 which is now concealed underneath some fancy Region 3 DVD's on a shelf on my unit. Far neater
