BBC iPlayer Question

Not sure which Forum to put this in.

I have what should be a simple question, If I put iPlayer on my Main PC and download an episode can I put the downloaded file on a drive and watch it on another PC that does not have iPlayer? what format do they download in?

I have a work laptop which i hook up to my plasma and play Divx files etc on from an external drive, do not want to load too much software on there so would like to download elsewhere that just watch it on that one if it is possible.

Seems to have the extension mp4, but doesn't want to open in quicktime...

Doesn't iplayer have some sort of DRM built in?

Could be - the mp4 file has a weird filename and lots of dross attached to it...

Also, iPlayer actually uses file sharing if you download it - which means that when someone requests an iPlayer file, it could be transferred from your PC! (I believe it installs Kontiki file sharing software - unless you disable it.)
