Going home soon to my coffin sized speakers....anyone recommend some good electronic (or otherwise) music with lots of deep bass, no dance music with a 120-140 bpm beat.

Open to pretty much anything!

Thanks in advance!!

Venetian Snares released a stunning 10inch a few years back called Sabbath Dubs, the B-side Electric Funeral has gargantuan, wobbly, brain shaking bass. As far as I know it never had a digital release but somebody has stuck it on youtube, so the quality isn't as good but hey ho.

Edit: this write up describes it rather well. We both used the term 'wobbly', who'd've thunk it!?

Good call. Beautifully produced.

Other good Yello albums: Stella (especially 'Oh Yeah') and One Second.

The latest Arctic Monkeys, AM, is very bass heavy, though it may suffer from compression.

Another possibility would be reggae. You could try anything by Sly & Robbie. One of my all-time faves is: Black Uhuru -- Anthem.

Thanks for the suggestions! I actually have yellow - flag but haven't listened to it for years!

Yer the consistent reggae bass was why I spent much of last summer listening to bigupraddio 24/7 haha.

The B Side to Flat Eric, called Monday Masacre by Mr Oizo has a hilarious base line. It's this rumbly saw tooth synth thing that shakes the house down 🙂
