I've just downloaded the 2010 remaster of Band On The Run by Paul McCartney & Wings. Interestingly with the high resolution 24bit/96KHz download you get a choice of a limited or unlimited version or both:
"The high resolution version is being made available via download and is being offered in two formats: limited, which is comparable in volume to the remastered CD, and un-limited, which in comparison with the limited version will sound quieter, but retain the dynamic range of the original master recording. Allan Rouse Abbey Road Studios"
I opted for the unlimited download (£12.99) only and it sounds very impressive. The downloaded file is 2.6gb and consists of the original album plus 9 bonus tracks all in 24/96 wave format + 320kbps mp3 version. I converted the wave file to FLAC and the 18 track album is 1.54gb.
