After acquiring the MT1mini-theatre set up from B&W and running it with the Pioneer SC-LX 82 I amlooking for a second area to be get its stereo fix. We are talking about areasonably large and awkwardly shaped (L-shape) living room. Oh, and looks areimportant... after all, what good are speakers if the girlfriend moves out?
So, I have looked alittle at the B&W XT8 and the B&O Beolab 8000. I know the principaldifferences (passive vs active, somewhat different frequency response range,etc), but have yet to find some way of more directly comparing these speakers.Does anyone on here know them first hand, or can someone come with a recommendationon this? Both would be running off the SC-LX82, which i presume have enough power to drive the XT8s? (I noticed they are rated at a sensitivity of 86dB, which is fairly low as far as I can tell).
