B&W Signature 800 loudspeaker

A friend of mine has been offered a fantastic deal on a new pair of B&W Signature 800 loudspeakers. They are new from a dealer (possibly demo) and the price really is amazing. Here's my question... is there any difference other than cosmetic between the 800 signature and the current 800D?

The 'D' has a diamond coated tweeter (hence the 'D'), other than that, just your usual evolutionary updates I would guess.

Stereophile has a review + specs of the 800s.

You'd want to remove a 0 off that price, though, there's a recession on!

Well my friend decided to get them - it really was a no brainer at the price he is getting them for. I must admit that I am a bit jealous... but in a good way. They are a gorgeous and great sounding speaker. Now if I could just find a way to get him to 'store' them at my house.
