Hi,

I currently have an Arcam Solo 2.1 paired with B&W 686s and I'm thinking of moving to a 5.1 system. To save me trying to sell my 686s would keeping the 686s as my fronts and then get 3 B&W M1s for the centre and rears and an ASW608 work well together?

Or should I just go for the MT-25 package?

Thanks,

Daithi.

M1s as rears would be fine, but I think you'd need to opt for the HTM62 centre personally. This setup certainly works with great with 685s as fronts - best bet would be to take your speakers down to a dealer and have a listen with the different setups i.e. M1 as centre and HTM62 as centre and see what you think.

Hello Daithi,

I have Onkyo 905 and I use it with a B&W 685 theatre with the upgraded subwoofer. I also have an Arcam HiFi set up with my Rega P3 and CD, I would have thought your Arcam Solo deserved decent speakers such as B&W 685s as the fronts and you could use the B&W 686 as the rears. You might have to save up for them but you will not regret it!!

Best Wishes

Thanks for the replies. Think I'm gonna get the 685s now.

Daithi.
