Awards 2009: Which HDMI cable?

Dear What Hi-Fi Team,

Which would be the better cable? The Chord Supershield or the Van Den Hul Flat?

I currently use the Van Den Hul Flat to connect my amp to the TV and also to connect the DVD recorder to the amp. I need a new HDMI cable to connect my blu ray player to my amp.

Assuming that the Chord Supershield is better than the Van Den Hul Flat, should I switch my connections around to say use the Chord Supershield to connect the amp to the TV and the Van Den Hul Flat for the rameining 2 connections?

PS: To those who do not think that cables make a difference, I would appreciate it if you do not hijack this thread and start discussing about why cables don't make any difference. Thank you.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, that thread has turned into a "cables don't matter" discussion rather than answering the question.

OK, just to clarify my question, I wanted to know whether the Chord Supershield or Van Den Hul Flat is better if we disregard price, i.e. which is better in pure performance terms?
