AV Receivers with app ecosystems for when?

There have been big tech jumps in so many technology areas, tv, phones, watches, etc... but, not so much on Hi-Fi.

Would it not be nice to have an AV receiver where you can access an app ecosystem and install what you need?

Ex. you can choose which room correction software you want to use, which listening modes, equalization systems, even streaming platforms, etc... You could pay for the functions that you want to install and customize your receiver to your needs....

I suppose that this is not technically possible right? Otherwise, this would be already in the market....

The problem is that it would require each product to have an app/software. Hifi Rose use android I think, so you could easily add the android store & enable users to download new apps. But those apps don’t exist, so it’s kinda pointless.
