AV Receiver Replacement

If I was to replace my existing AV receiver (Sony STR-DA5300ES) with something a little cheaper e.g. Onkyo TX-SR608 would it be a massive step down in performance using my current setup (see sig) ?

I'd think it would be noticeable, but it's hard to define a massive step down.

Why not look for a dealer that stocks the Onkyo amp and the KEF speakers, then you can just take your current Sony amp down and run a comparison?
