I have an audiolab 8200cd combined with 8200a and 8200p biamped to speakers (8200a to hf, 8200p to lf). I have Monitor audio gx100 speakers. It all sounds great, but wondering what benefit I would get (if any) if I were to get an additional 8200p and run both as mono blocks?

If I do so, would i still use the 8200a to run the high frequency and just use the poweramps for the low?

Any feedback would be great, thanks

You mean you want to bi-amplfying your speakers : more powe = more control on the speakers . You should benefit more dynamic , details and punch . you have 2 pairs of pre amp out on your 8200A pre, so you connect two 8200P powers to them and from each power to the speakers right-left

speaker cables accordingly ( you have to take out the bridge connector from the speakers terminals ) . the twitter and mid/bass driver will be powered

seperatley via the two 8200P powers .

Would there be any benefit utilising the pre power stage of the 8200a to power tweeters only of both speakers and power amps to power the mid and bass drivers (one power amp per speaker)?

Hi

You are connecting righ-left *2 from pre to power and from power amp to the speakers so the twitters and mid/bass will be power seperetly .

You can't use one amp per speaker you will "damage" the soundstage don't forget that the 8200A design as 2 chanels power and it is not a monoblok.
