Audiolab 8000P - what does it sound like?

I bought one yesterday, along with the 8000s. I had it set up in showroom to some B+W 684s biwired. Sounded really good, loads of bass, power. I even thought that it was a bit to powerful for the 684s so will have to really think about speakers. But yeah seems a good peice of kit..

thanks for that - thinking of it to power a pair of focal that are if anything a little bass light - just after a nice neutral sound if possible

the p will defo sort your bass problems out. at the dealers listened to the lastest cyrus amp aswell and there wasnt much in it, more than happy with the audiolab combo. 300 quid for the p.

focal profile 908s - its my spare pair - tried to sell on ebay but didn't go so now going to use in spare room just looking for a good yet cheap power amp to do them justice - have a little dot mk iii that going to use as a pre amp - which is tube based and warm sounding - the speakers have amazing mid range and hi end but lack a little welly so after somethin power yet neutral to drive them.
