Hi

I am new to vinyl and are looking for a cheap, but decent, turntable. After much research I have come down to the Audio Technica LP60 or Marantz TT5005. I am not interested in a used turntable.

Does anybody have any experience with these two?

No experience with either but at that price don't expect miracles from either. I'd usually say byuy the one with the best cartridge but it's not easy to find out what exactly they have fitted so I expect nothing great. If you cannot afford anything better then, I guess, go for the one you like the look of. Unfortunately I feel daytona600 may have a valid point.

Both of those turntables are basically redressed awia turntables from the 90's, I plugged one into my denon pma720ae with the biult in phono turned off and it sounded better than i would have thought (did use brand new 180gram miles davis record tho)
