Dear All,

I have for the 2 last weeks at home for testing the speaker cable Atlas Hyper 3.0.

Currently my sistem is:

NAD C355BEE amplifier / NAD C545BEE cd player / B&W 684 speakers / Straithwire Musicable II interconnects / QED Silver anniversary biwired speaker cables.

The Atlas cables on the begging sounded more closed and lower volume than the QED cables. It dissappointed me, as I was expecting a visible difference. Now I have connected again the QED cable and the Atlas are far superior: More bass and controled, more definition on the MIDS wich are clearer and treble is spectacular and more understandable from the rest of the sounds, while the QED had the high sounds more mixed up and fatigating at high volumes. I said that the Atlas sounded with lower volume, now it doesn't, after 200 hours of working this Atlas cables are far superior in all aspects, beautifuly bass, refinement and punch and clarity and dynamics, it has all!

Now next week I will compare the Atlas to the new QED Revelation and see which one is better and in the end I'll keep the winner.

Has anyone has the Atlas Hyper 3.0 or the QED Revelation?

Greetings

Hello,

As for the Hyper 3.0 the diferences from the QED Silver Anniversary are evident, more bass and the treble more refined, it is not a huge diference because I think that there are no such diferences. As for the Hyper 2.0 to the 3.0 maybe it's just the bass.

What I was advised is to biwire with 3.0 and 1.5, that produces great results, but this is an expensive cable.

You said you had the 2.0, for testing? and for how long? please note that initially the 3.0 had a closed sound and after about 100 hours it change completely! Maybe you didn't give it enough time?

Greetings

I purchased a pair of Hyper 3.0 speaker cable and the new Hyper interconnects to replace my old cables as my system is on the bright side, intially i was very dissappointed with the sound but after 120 hours or so of running in the sound started to open up, the old cables had a slightly bigger bass but I felt the Hyper was much clearer and tighter and better balanced in my system

Purchasing cables is a fickle thing as different cables suit different systems, I tried qed, Black Rhodium and Chord and the Hyper suited my system best.

System

Primare A20 mk2 amp , Arcam fmj CD17 player, Kef IQ7 SE speakers

Hello,

Thank you for your post. Actually I returned the Hyper 3.0 to the dealer and bought instead the Atlas Biwire, which is composed by the Hyper 2.0 for the low frequencies and the 1.25 (made of solid core) for the high frequencies.

They 3.0 gave my sistem a more controled and delicate sound than the QED Revelation, but the QED played the sound louder than the Atlas Hyper 3.0, the silver has lower resistance to the sound signal than the Atlas, but that's it

Now with the Atlas Biwire I will have about the same bass (only on sistems real above mine will be noticed) and more defenition of the treble, because the QED had more treble than the Hyper 3.0

Does your Hyper 3.0 sounds with less volume than your previous cables?
