just auditioned the new monitor audio rx6 and really liked it.

The yamaha worked well but maybe there is something better with it, in the same price tag?

maybe some marantz?

i would have loved to have heard the yamaha with my rx6's, id say they would have sounded great..fwiw ive had a 50watt nad c326bee, a 45watt marantz pm6003 and a 95watt marantz pm7000 paired with rx6's, and the older, more powerful pm7000 sounded best to me.. im not saying the rx6's need power, but i found they sounded best with the more powerful pm7000.. the as-500 is the most powerful amp in its class..
