Are BBC deliberately trying to make Freesat fail?

Why don't they have the interactive services on the BBC Freesat channels. I have a Panasonic TXP42G10 and they work on Freeview & Sky, but not Freesat - that's annoying

Well no, they're not, since they have a legal obligation not to. As for why interactive services don't work, don't know - maybe they're harder to implement on Freesat (they were a bit of a mare on terrestrial...)

Well you get sport's multi-screen on bbc but that's it at the moment.

IIRC it's down to the encoding though. Sky uses OpenTv for its interactive services, where as Freesat uses MHEG-5 which mean's implementing new code.Which takes time and money.
