I'd like to see reviews of the other Arcaydis products. This is a very intersting company. Their speakers are far from cookie cutter.

Check out this product from them (SM35C). Remind you of another speaker company?

And look at the midrange driver on this new SM20 speaker. Looks very interesting...

Yes. The name (SM35C) hints at the LS3/5A design that it seems to be inspired by/evolved from.

It reminds me of the Stirling Broadcast version of the BBC LS3/5A V2 and is a smilar price...

Also they both share a Birch ply construction (rather than the usual MDF)

Those Harbeths are now obsolete. (HL P3-ES2)

They were replaced by the P3ESR ('R' because they now use the proprietary Harbeth Radial cone material and have new tweeters and crossover too.)

The old HL P3-ES2 can still be bought in Monitor 20/M20 (professional near field monitor) guise either veneered or painted grey. But I suspect the crossover may be different for Pro use.

I had the predecessor of these Harbeths at home for a few days back in the mid-nineties, together with the afromentioned Rogers LS3/5A's. I remember (almost) liking the Harbeth more. At the time I had a Magnum Class A amp and listening to the tiny Harbeths was like listening through a pipe compared to the Rogers. More fun but less accurate. Lovely and musical but eventually settled for Ruark Sabres.
