Arcam Bdp-300 for £500 no trade in

Arcam BDP-100 had numerous bugs. Haven't found any reviews for the 300. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. It's a 2-year old player, and an upgrade to a new model looks imminent.

hi gel,i have had the ,bdp100 ,and yes there were some fault with the player ,i know a lot people say theres no diffrence in picture quality when it comes p/q,but i do beleive that it was better than my lx08 pioneer player ,but moving on i know have arcam bdp 300 i have had no problems with it its a major improvement over the 100,and if you enjoy your music this player performs fantastic in this area too,so £500 is not such a bad price,ask your dealer if you can borrow one and check it out im sure it will bring a smile to your face.cheers david

Gel, the 08 and 71 pioneers were the same player inside. So no difference apart from the looks. Remember your tv has been calibrated, therefore no need to up grade because you should have all the picture processing switched off. If you want 3d, then that's the only improvement. Not sure about playing music though...

bit of a thread revivial ... but picked the bdp300 up myself 3 weeks ago . mainly for hi-fi purpsoses a my ps4 wont do cd's ......grr . Anyway .... so glad i did , its a brilliant sounding player . Got it hooked up to an arcam irdac with graham slee srg11 head amp and senn hd700 .

I've not tried the inbuilt dac of the dbp300 yet for a comparision , but i know my audio is know sorted for 5 years ( i hpoe ) . have this nasty habbit of changng stuff for no good reason . Sometimes just going back to real basic stuff

hi talon, as can see in my signature i also have a bdp 300,i have had it just over a year now and very pleased with it,if you have a local dealer who stocks stillpoints ,if you really hear this baby sing try some under your player i have the mini under mine and now gob smacked how good it sounds now.i know i will get shot down about my post by the nah sayers ,saying im just hearing it ,or stillpoints are expencive rubbish,please if you get a chance please give them a try.cheers david
