Does someone know if the A85 supports "processor mode" like the A75, A80 and A90? This is the setting that makes a (tape) input fixed gain so that the A85 can drive the front pair of a 5.1 / 7.1 set up. I have heard that this can be enabled by a firmware upgrade to the amp, but I can't find any details.

Anyone know for sure on this?

Not sure, but you could always hook up the AV receiver's preouts to the power amp inputs on the rear of the A85, and then press the pre/pwr switch on the rear in to separate the pre and power sections of the amp when you want to use it in 'AV mode'.

That is an option, but not very easy to swap between modes... I know the A75 has a "processor mode" switch on the front - which is a bit more accessible. I was hoping to be able to set up one of the tape inputs (in the future - new AV amp being considered) and then I could just select "tape input" (from the RC) to get to processor mode, couldn't I?
