Apple stores / John Lewis etc. accepting returns for old iPad

So it's confirmed that IE10 causes problems posting on the forum. :)

Apple stores & John Lewis are accepting returns for the old iPad if you bought it within the last 30 days for a full refund / preorder for the new iPad.

A friend of mine bought an iPad on 29th Sept. He spoke to Apple yesterday who said that they would have accepted returns if he had purchased from them. They advised him to contact JL. John Lewis also agreed to accept returns, & he's on his way there.

He wasn't that impressed with the iPad & thought it was a bit crippled. He'll check the Surface tablet before deciding which one to buy.

Well, if you expect the iPad to function like a laptop, you will find it crippled. Lack of USB functionality, inability to attach multiple documents (except pictures) to a single email, lack of true MS Office experience etc. As long as you're clear about what you exactly expect from the iPad & that it is indeed able to perform the tasks you expect it to do, you'll be happy with it.

Thanks, I was aware of those limitations. I intend to use it mainly for consuming media and possably as a remote for a naim streaming device in future.
