Apple Airport Express with an amplifier?

Hello all,

I am looking at buying a new audio set up and mostly listen to spotify with some use of itunes. I think the most logical pairing would therefore be an Apple Airport Express connected via a 3.5mm to RCD adapter to an amplifier (looking at the Denon PMA 720 AE) obviously I will need speakers but that is the next hurdle of research! My understanding is that this would allow me to stream spotify/itunes from any apple device (including ipod touch, ipad etc) and from my pc.

Does the above all seem correct? and would I acheive a good quality of sound (bearing in mind that CD's are not an option.)

Any help is much appreciated, it all seems rather bewildering!

You might be better off finding an amp with a built-in DAC (and optical input) then plug in an Apple TV for AirPlay.

The new Marantz PM6005 (in shops soon I believe) will have all this...

Saves on buying a seperate DAC and will sound better than connecting an AEX via an analogue cable.

I believe you'll need Airfoil to be able to stream Spotify from your PC.
