I've been thoroughly disappointed by the Marantz control app for my NA7004 and MCR603. I notice they've brought out a new app but it only works with the latest generation of kit. I don't want a lot, just the ability to make a queue while I listen and stability of the app.
After a lot of experimenting, I tried the new Technics app. It's truly brilliant in my opinion in that it does what you want and keeps working. It found all of the music sources and all of the DLNA kit straight away and works with my Marantz, Denon, Samsung and Panasonic kit. The finer points, like tone control don't, which is fair enough, but for kit with a volume control (like the MCR and the AV reviewers) that works.
if you're happy with your app, ignore this, otherwise, give it a try.
