anyone have ONKYO 875 with KEF 3005SE speakers ?

hi guys

just got a set of

KEF 3005SE speakers

about to get ONKYO 875 to power them

just wondering if anyone has the same set up,and if so is it a good combo?

or does anyone have any opinions on the set ?

is the amp too powerfull for those speakers ? or about right ?
]or any other thoughts ?

• I have an 875 with 3005se, it works well. have the crossovers set at 80Hz for the speakers. The power of the amp is fine for the speakers. The setup is ok for music, but I use an Arcam a32 and MA speakers for that as it sounds better. Make sure you have firmware 1.07 or above on the AMP. I updated mine with a laptop.
• Overall its a good setup.

i have this setup for tv/films/bluray not for music so thats not a problem

can you explain what crossovers set at 80hz means ? sorry new to all this lol

is this a setting on a amp ?

and what other settings are there,and also if i did not set it to 80hz what happens ? lol

Below 80Hz, the sound is sent to the SUB. Its in the setup menu, but the auto setup will do it all for you.

but my kef sub is set to the following
