How is it in use? I'm quite interested in this plasma but there is very little in the way of reviews on it. Owners on another forum seem to really rate it but there is mention that it might be a bit susceptible to image retention.

this tv is a mystery..

the blacks are very poor unless its set to movie mode, whats that about

and when it is set to movie mode, the blacks are apparently still not even as good as last years sammy plasmas

Apparently there's a lot of misinformation about this TV around... The C6900 isn't the same as the C7000. From everything I've read the C7000 has a special black filter over the panel that was in short supply for a few months so they released the C6900 without the filter, now it seems that the C7000 with the filter is more readily available again.

ah, that makes sense, no wonder the c6900 was going so cheap, and i did think the blacks were terrible..

still, all this name changing, panels available, then not, no reviews, no samsung comments, wouldnt exactly fill you with confidence..

It is a bit odd TBH. But on the other forum there seems to be quite a lot of people happy with it. I'm looking for some feedback here as I generally trust the rabble 'round these parts a bit more.

i dont know why samsung havnt sent some of these c7000s for review?

possibly because they knew they couldnt supply them?

possibly because they make more money from 3d lcds and want these to take second place to them?

id wait a while tom, see what happens...
